Good for Lowell Feld!
It never ceases to amaze me how a relatively miniscule percentage of visitors can monopolize a good blog site. Daily Kos was a tremendous supporter during Jim Webb's recent campaign - not to mention the large sums raised for his campaign. I am confident that the vast majority of visitors continues to support Webb and is pleased with his overall performance in the Senate. Sure, there are individual votes that we may question, discuss and then either agree or disagree; however, there is absolutely no excuse nor justification for using the terms traitor or coward. Jim Webb may be many things but he is not a traitor or coward. With an average of 600,000 daily hits on Daily Kos and only about 100 diaries made by a few loonies, Daily Kos is headed in the same direction as some of those whacko right wing blog sites which we all detest. Lowell, thank you for bringing an informed and thoughtful voice to Daily Kos, and for being ever vigilant to ensure that KaisingKaine never becomes hijacked by a few nut cases.

I post here at RK and at Daily Kos. I disagree with some of the things said there while agreeing with a heck of a lot more. Sure there is the "whiner" crowd, but there are plenty more who aren't. The only way to counteract viewpoints you disagree with is to join in. I've had diaries go on the Recommended List there on occasion, and they are usually positive diaries about the Democrats (one was about Webb). Webb voted in an unpopular way for a civil liberties issue, when he voted yes to the FISA bill. People were mad. But, you know, one of the leading voices against the Iraq War is Jim Webb, so don't worry .... when Webb once again stands up for an issue we are all united on, people will remember why they liked him in the first place.
I agree that the answer is not to (Lowell - 8/18/2007 5:54:28 PM)
avoid Daily Kos, but to get on there and make your case.
