"Fourth and Long" for Vick

This morning's Richmond Times Dispatch outlines the possibilities facing  Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who is considering a plea bargain in his gruesome dogfighting case.  The options for Vick reportedly range from 12-18 months in prison or "a maximum prison sentence of five years and a fine of $250,000."  In addition, "Federal prosecutors have said they intend to bring a new indictment in the case, which could involve additional charges that would carry a substantially heftier sentence."  And, apparently, Vick only has until tomorrow to decide what to do.

As Times-Dispatch columnist Bob Lipper writes, "it's fourth and long" for Vick.

I heard (leftofcenter - 8/16/2007 10:38:34 AM)
on the local radio this morning that one of his pleas only had him serving a year.
I don't think that is QUITE enough time IMHO.

Not even close, if he did what he's accused (Lowell - 8/16/2007 10:39:32 AM)
of doing.
