I believe foreign policy is one of the areas Republicans and the Bush Administration have failed the American people most dramatically. With that in mind, I attended a conference given by the Center for U.S. Global Engagement in Washington,DC that had a feature "Presidential Campaign '08 Democratic Foreign Policy Roundtable being moderated by Frank Sesno of CNN news.

Tony Blinken represented Senator Joe Biden
Rep Brad Miller (D-NC) for John Edwards
Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) for Barack Obama
Rep. Tom Udall (D-NM) for Bill Richardson
Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA) for Chris Dodd

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) for Hillary Clinton

Sesno set the tone talking about how during the Cold War everything in foreign policy was seen then through that prism.  He asked, is the only prism we have now the prism of terrorism?

The first question was on Cuba and each surrogate did a good job of answering the question.  With that question and with each successive question the spin control from last nights debate was still being practiced.
