Why should we care?
Well, for one thing, because Sadler is listed as an endorser on the website of Sen. Nick Rerras (R-6th). You may recall that, back in February 2007, Rerras left Mary G. Commander, a female candidate for for a Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court judgeship, "shocked, offended and embarrassed" by their conversation. Among other things, Rerras used the word "feminazi" during their interview.
As if that's not bad enough, Rerras apparently believes that psychological disorders are caused by demons, and that "God may be punishing families by giving children mental illnesses."
Anyway, here's what the Daily Press reports with regard to Rerras' endorser, Charles Gerald "Jerry" Sadler:
In the court file, David R. Copley, a state police special agent, said Sadler exposed himself to the victim on July 2 and masturbated with his shorts around his knees and no shirt on. Copley also said Sadler was naked on July 17 when he exposed himself to the victim again and masturbated while looking at her through binoculars.
Now, here's what Sadler had to say about Rerras, from an article that is featured on Rerras' website:
Nick is always here for us when we need him. He is a wonderful, wonderful senator.
Like maybe bailing him out of jail?
Ah, family values. Aren't they wonderful?
It's interesting that Sadler was arrested last Thursday, 7/19, and Nick Rerras, a computer guy, still hasn't figured out how to take Sadler's name off his endorsement page. Is that because Rerras so strongly believes Sadler is innocent until proven guilty, or is that because Rerras doesn't see this as a potential negative among his supporters? Another Republican sex offender, oh well.
By the way, the court also issued an emergency protective order, a pretty serious step requiring Sadler to stay away from the victim.
Gee, I sure hope her 11 year old daughter doesn't find THAT on the internet.
