Today's Post did, however, repeat the story on the assault on health care coverage for the almost 7 million kids not eligible for Medicaid but whose parents can't afford health insurance, and the refusal to allot money for another 3.3 million kids in the same situation. This, I presume, is compassionate conservatism. This is the difference between Democratic leadership and a Republican monarchy.
As noted in my previous blurb, the required moneys for a year of coverage for the 10 million kids are equivalent to perhaps what we spend in 6 weeks or so on the Iraq sewage dump. I guess it's more important to finance KBR et. al. than to keep our nation's most unfortunate children healthy.
