The debate is over and it was another great showing for Tim Kaine. Tim pointed out that all Jerry likes to do is throw mud. Jerry's mud slinging culminated with him refusing to commit to keep 51% of his campaign ads positive. There is a reason for that, only Tim has a positive vision for Virginia. Jerry was also called out on his misstatements regarding federal money for transportation. When given the opportunity to cite one project that was held up for even one day, he knew of none. The reason for that is because he made up the whole line of attack. As Tim stated, we need a Governor of Virginia that will be honest with the voters and not try and mislead them.
Kilgore passed up another opportunity tonight to clear up his position on abortion. Bob Lewis from the AP nailed Jerry on this issue. Jerry passed up two chances, once in the initial question and once in the follow-up, to solidify his position.
Perhaps Jerry?s only position is to be negative.
