Executive Director Amy Reger sent out an announcement email today about the move and some other new steps forward...
The Democratic Party of Virginia is on the move! Thanks to the effort and energy of Democratic volunteers from across the Commonwealth and the leadership of Governor Tim Kaine, former Governor Mark Warner, Senator Jim Webb, and so many other current and former elected Virginia Democrats, our party is growing by leaps and bounds.
To capitalize on our momentum, position ourselves to win seats in the General Assembly this November, and to help take back the White House in 2008, the Democratic Party of Virginia has spent the past few months investing in our infrastructure. We've launched a new web site, upgraded to what is now-cutting edge technology, and added new full-time staff members.
And now, I am happy to announce, we are moving to a new headquarters in Richmond!
On Thursday, July 12, the Democratic Party of Virginia will move into an office that will better meet the needs our growing party. The new facility will provide us the essential resources of space, technical sophistication, and volunteer accessibility we need to help our candidates this fall, in 2008, and beyond. And, it has parking!
Our new office is located at 1710 E. Franklin Street in Richmond,VA 23223. [It is across from the Farmer's Market in Shockoe Bottom.]
I invite you to stop by to visit the new headquarters and to meet the new staffers, which include Nicole Gordon, Operations Director, Dan Kelly, Field Director, and Danae Jones, Communications Director. Brenner, Levar, Elisabeth, Greg, Jamie, Dave, Mike and Judie and the House and Senate Caucus staffs will all be there as well.
If you can't make it to Richmond, but want to get involved and help elect democrats, contact one of our great regional organizers: Susan in Hampton Roads, Joe in northern Virginia, and Brian in southwest Virginia.
Our phone number will remain the same: 804-644-1966

Executive Director
Democratic Party of VirginiaP.S. Thank you to the DPVA Building Search Committee for all your hard work finding and choosing this location!
Seriously, what's the purpose of an e-mail system if you don't contact the constituency?
With all that new staff you'd think at least someone could communicate with us!
