I've Made My Choice for President

In considering who to support for President in 2008, I considered a number of factors: experience, intelligence, good judgment in a crisis, shared values, etc. I gave this deep thought, and decided that there's one person who is head and shoulders above the rest. A man who "may be a liar, a pig, an idiot, a communist, but he is not a porn star." A guy who believes that "Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel." And finally, a man who has good family values: "Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try."
So today, dear RK readers, I announce my choice for President in 2008: Homer Simpson, "man of the working class." The only candidate who has the "courage, leadership and a willingness to take full advantage of the government funded White House meals."
Now, we just have to convince Homer Jay Simpson to run. If we do, a bright new future - not to mention unlmited doughnuts! - awaits us. God bless America, and Go Homer!

Yes, But Will Homer ever free himself of the Albo Cycle? (Albo Must Go - 7/6/2007 9:53:48 AM)
According to that website (Chris Guy - 7/6/2007 9:56:52 AM)
he's from Springfield, MA! Any half-way decent Simpsons fan knows that Homer's Springfield is fictional and not located in any particular state.
That's just sad.
I suppose "MA" could stand for (Lowell - 7/6/2007 10:03:01 AM)
"man anywhere." Yeah, that's what it is, "man anywhere!" :)
Delegate Albo Represents Springfield (Albo Must Go - 7/6/2007 10:23:10 AM)
That's why Homer is in the Albo Cycle...
Funny! (Leonitis - 7/6/2007 10:06:37 AM)
Ha ha ha - love it!
Honestly, I don't like any of the folks who have thrown their hats into the Presidential ring so far in either or neither party. Homer may be my man.
Duhhhhh...whoopee! (HisRock - 7/6/2007 10:46:30 AM)

A dream come true! (Catzmaw - 7/6/2007 11:38:36 AM)
It would be a dream come true to have this man as our President!
Bart: Dad, you shot the zombie Flanders!
Homer: He was a zombie?
"Jeebbbussssss!"
Lisa: Dad, we did something very bad!
Homer: Did you wreck the car?
Bart: No!
Homer: Did you raise the dead?
Lisa: Yes!
Homer: But the car's okay?
Lisa / Bart: Uh-huh.
Homer: All right then.
Homer: What's my name? What color is the sky? What of donuts? What?! For the love of God, tell me!
Marge: Homer! The sky is blue, donuts are plentiful, Friday is TGIF night on ABC, what's gotten into you!?
Homer: Kids, let me tell you about another so-called wicked guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was... I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?
Dammit another candidate from MA (WillieStark - 7/6/2007 12:47:39 PM)
One complete moron president in my lifetime is enough, thanks... ;-) (Kindler - 7/7/2007 9:56:39 PM)
