Given who and what he has to deal with, I personally think he is doing an excellent job. I never believed he and I would agree on everything, that wasn't what my vote was about.....

and participate in the poll.  The article was very good, except it really did not mention Webb's recent legislative initiatives on the GI Bill and troop deployments, but otherwise it drew a picture of a strong, active leader willing to work even with those against whom he has grievances in order to get the job done.  I described his performance in the poll as excellent.  We needed a leader with guts and a strong work ethic in that Senate seat and that's what we got. 

I notice the results are improving.  Regular readers here know that I am a real fan of Webb.  In my opinion Webb is definitely in the 1st tier and a breath of fresh air.

I would be glad to trade Mitch McConnell to Virgina for Jim Webb.  I think he's done an excellent job and only hope we can find more Democratic candidate of Jim's caliber to run in 2008.

Virginia is very lucky to have such a fine Senator.
