Edwards let his supporters know that (beachydem - 7/1/2007 12:50:22 PM)
their campaign budget for the 3rd quarter is only 2.3 million, so he's definitely still in the race :)
FEC Maps -- Quite interesting (Greg - 7/1/2007 1:40:38 PM)
It's really fascinating to click back and forth between the maps for
Hillary Clinton and
Barack Obama. Hillary is very strong in the traditional "high dollar" trifecta of NYC/LA/Palm Beach, and weaker than Obama almost
everywhere else. Obama has higher numbers in Chicago, for obvious reasons, but his circles on the map are larger in the vast majority of other states -- particularly in the South and the Mountain West.
Interesting. (Lowell - 7/1/2007 1:44:38 PM)
By the way, these maps are great!
Ok..we have a problem... (doctormatt06 - 7/1/2007 3:31:16 PM)
Democrats have raised over 100 million dollars for this election combined. Does anyone else think this isn't a good thing? That it basically is a sign that money necessity for campaigns has gotten WAY WAY WAYYYY out of control.
I'm concerned too and where is the money coming from ? (beachydem - 7/1/2007 4:20:08 PM)
I still believe Hillary and Obama are unelectable in the General, Gore and Clark keep teasing their supporters (most who are soft supporters for the top tier right now).
Not sure Richardson, Biden and Dodd's should be discouraged and I hope hang in there for the primaries. As I know the Kuch will, bless his heart.
The MSM this week will declare Hillary or Obama the Democratic Nominee this week base on ... money ? Mark my word :)
So, yes, we have a problem. Like professional pollsters and fundraisers, Figure Skating is more political. So you even the field by throwing out the highest and lowest (scores). Hope that made sense :)
Wow. (Susan P. - 7/1/2007 5:16:50 PM)
Look at the comparable numbers for the Republicans. The pendulum is swinging. A huge shift is underway.
Big Business is hedging their bets (WillieStark - 7/1/2007 11:15:26 PM)
The big boys are trying to buy the Dem nominees. They see HRC as a sure thing to protect them given that she employs union busting Mark Penn and is basically a republican anyway on a plethora of issues. Obama they see as getting a ton of support and as someone who is easily molded into their image. Case in point is his bendable nature on things like the bankruptcy bill and the piece of shit tort deform bill.
Edwards won't get their help though. He has made it plain he will fuck up their little gravy train. oops... I have revealed my preferences.
