I got an early start Tuesday, at Take Back America conference--arriving at the Washington Hilton just before 6am (got to beat the traffic) ... I did a media swing following Jim Dean, head of Democracy for America and being followed by Kathleen Kennedy Townsend ... moderated a discussion on "Making an Impact" ... listened to low level Presidential hopefuls Mike Gravel and Bill Richardson ... attended a plenary session "The Blogosphere: From Ideas to Action ... followed by another session about conviction politics ... then I joined thousands of progressive activists and heard from top tier candidates Senator Barack Obama and former Senator John Edwards... some might call that a full morning
After Edwards finished I climbed on a bus and headed for a rally for the employee free choice act up on Capitol Hill ... with the rally across the street from the Russell Senate Office Building I just had to stop by Senator Webb's office and see his digs ... great to see!
Back to the Hilton and another session ... just time for a quick change before the gala reception and awards dinner ... I've got to say the award given to Progressive Bloggers (with Ned Lamont doing the intro) missed what I still think is the largest impact on politics as we know it ... the election of Jim Webb ...it was quite an evening ....
