Wadhams: I'm a Loser

That headline might be a little harsh, but this is the guy who lost to a campaign last year that he himself called a "joke." New Colorado GOP Chairman Dick Wad(hams) has admitted that Republicans in the Centennial State will not win back control of either house of their state legislature in next year's elections. Though he's optimistic that they'll win back one of the two in 2010. Way to fire up the troops Dick!
For those keeping track, Colorado Republicans lost one U.S. Senate seat in 2004. The state legislature and Governor's mansion in 2006. And in 2008, their other Senate seat is looking more and more like a lock for Democrats to flip as well. Just think, this is the state that Focus on the Family's James Dobson calls home. Cue Nelson Muntz: Ha-Ha!

I used to live in Colorado (Draft Me Please - 6/18/2007 4:23:22 PM)
and have a couple ties to some of the politics in that state. It is an incredibly pleasant surprise to see how blue it is trending. Senator Allard is one of the most conservative members of the Senate, to see his seat flip would be a pretty big deal.
Allard's retiring (Chris Guy - 6/18/2007 4:33:09 PM)
and no big name republican wants to run for the seat against Congressman Mark Udall (D-CO). I think Udall is to '08 what Bob Casey was to '06. This seat's basically a lock the way things stand now.
VA? (Bill Kuster - 6/19/2007 12:40:35 AM)
As goes CO, so goes VA? Be nice to have both Senate seats, the Governorship and 51/21.
