Tonight I was pleased to join many of the friends of Virginia's 17th District Senator, R. Edward "Edd" Houck at a retirement celebration to honor 34 years of his hard work, diligence and devotion to public education in Virginia.

Edd began his teaching career in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, as a middle-school science teacher. He has also been a guidance counselor, assistant principal, and is now retiring as the Director of Student Services, Fredericksburg City Public Schools.

My congratulations to Senator Houck, his wife, Dana, and their entire family.  They all have a lot to be proud of.

Meanwhile, I can't say enough about how we need to keep Edd in the Virginia Senate.  Please consider a contribution to his campaign via ActBlue http://actblue.com/e...
