The Primary Fallout

The big loser yesterday was change, but life isn't always about winning and losing.

We have good candidates in the Democratic Party, not the ones I would have chosen myself but good nonetheless. My biggest congratulations goes to Rex Simmons and George Barker who won big yesterday.

The voters have spoken.

I respect that, but the fight isn't over yet. Those who won yesterday should note that they are responsible to those who elect them. If they remember who they are responsible to they will have continued elective success.
It is disappointing to see Gerry Connolly gloat about "his" election victories yesterday. Yesterday's election was not about him, but about our quest for change in Virginia.

I still send a stern warning to Mr. Connolly, don't be so confident because you won't always win.

It's not encouraging to see voter turnout so low so frequently in elections here in Virginia. We must do something about this.

We must have an engaged citizenry.

I don't have the solution to this though. I hope that we can all work together and move forward. I especially am going to work hard to elect Chap Petersen to the State Senate.

Onward!

You and I have been going out to the bars 2-3 times a month (as evidenced on facebook), feel free to invite anyone with a (D-VA) after their name the next time we go to Auld.
