Did anyone watch the Republican debate tonight? Personally, I had to dust the house, clean the toilets, just about anything but watch these nutjobs talk about nuking Iran or whatever. Ugh.

My Wife and Doctor Won't Let Me ! (norman swingvoter - 6/5/2007 10:57:36 PM)
I wanted to watch but my wife and doctor both say it raises my blood pressure too much. I'll just have to catch the high points here.
Thank you for visiting RK!
I value my TV (Not Harry F. Byrd, Sr. - 6/5/2007 11:21:47 PM)
and I haven't bought a plexiglass protector shield thing yet so it's not safe to watch that kind of stuff in my house yet.
Yes I watched it (DanG - 6/6/2007 12:16:46 AM)
Too much to summarize this late. Glad to answer any questions, though!
All those white men in one place (Andrea Chamblee - 6/6/2007 12:26:00 AM)
It must be the Republican Party!
Not that white guys aren't some of my favorite people. My husband is one, after all. But I can't stand listening to those over-privileged guys debate abortion and immigration reform. They refuse to learn about how either issue affects anyone personally, but that doesn't stop them from sticking in their worthless 2 cents!
You would've agreed with a few on immigration (DanG - 6/6/2007 12:49:31 AM)
And Rudy was right on with his abortions reponse: he personally finds it immoral (as do I), but it's none of the government's business.
I heard on NPR that lighting struck when abortion was being discussed (relawson - 6/6/2007 8:11:43 PM)
I didn't catch who the candidate was at the time...they were alluding that some people felt it was a "sign from God". Anyways, apparently power went out in the middle of the debate.
It was Rudy (Kindler - 6/6/2007 9:05:10 PM)
Yes, it was right when Giuliani was asked a question about his stance on abortion that the lightning struck and temporarily blanked out the sound system.
I have a funny feeling that moment is going to be used in evangelical sermons for a long time to come...
