Scapegoating Iraqis, Part II

Yesterday I posted a note about Iraqi refugees, and how the Bush administration wouldn't allow them entry into this country.  Today's New York Times has an article on the front page that details the terrible plight of many of these refugees.  More than a million Iraqis have fled to Syria where they have found it nearly impossible to support themselves.  The results are not surprising:
Many ... women and girls, including some barely in their teens, are recent refugees. Some are tricked or forced into prostitution, but most say they have no other means of supporting their families.

A Syrian woman's rights lawyer stated, "Sometimes you see whole families living this way, the girls pimped by the mother or aunt."

Does anyone in the Bush administration care? The Bush administraton started the war that forced these people to flee their country.  Will they do anything to help them?

WWII -> German refugees
Korea -> Korean refugees
Vietnam -> Vietnamese refugees
Reagan Contra Wars -> Central American Refugees.
Bush/Clinton/Nato/Yugoslav Wars -> Balkan refugees.

The administration is determined to prevent Iraqi immigrants ... unless of course they speak Spanish then it's impossible to stop them, might was well give them guest worker visas renewable for forever.
