[UPDATE: One thing I forgot to mention is that Gerry Connolly was there in his famous American flag shirt. Connolly told me that his wife had made him the shirt, which I find very impressive given that I can't even sew a button on my shirt. Ha.]
The Petersen for Senate booth was hopping today. I hear that there were as many as 100 people who came by to volunteer today. That's impressive any way you look at it!
In contrast, things were vewwwwwwy qwiet at the Davis booth. Perhaps their supporters were out hunting wabbits? Ha.
The Charlie Hall booth was looking good as well, and Charlie was busy working the crowd hard all day. I hear rumors that Linda Smyth put in a brief appearance at the festival, but I never saw her.
Del. Steve Shannon talking to Charlie Hall. Not a bad combination right there! :)
Tom Davis and JMDD looked a bit worried today. I hear that they refused to even LOOK at the Chap Petersen booth, let alone to stop by and say hello. I also hear that in previous years, Tom Davis would always do that, so something's going on.
JMDD looking cool in her red, white and blue shorts.
I saw Scott Monett, leader of TysonsTunnel.org, and asked him what that other Metro to Dulles booth was. I went over and they were claiming to be the "official" Metro to Dulles group, whatever that means. Maybe funded by Bechtel, given all the money they obviously spent on nifty hardhats and other paraphernalia? Hmmmmm.
