Not that this is a big surprise to those who haven't been living under a rock the past few years, but the US budget under a REPUBLICAN President and Congress is wildly, completely out of control. Now, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, not exactly a flaming liberal, has come right out and said it: we've "lost control" of our budget deficit under Bush-o-nomics. And that's even BEFORE we pay for Hurricane Katrina cleanup and rebuilding. Ee gads.
Now, if you want the same thing in Virginia, just vote for Bush Junior, aka "Jerry Kilgore." Look at all of Kilgore's proposals for spending money...today he's got a slew more of them for Veterans. All, magically, without raising the revenues to pay for them! The only problem is, Virginia is a state, and as such is not constitutionally permitted to print its own money. Whoops!!
