This weekend, take a nice little tour of Democratic Hampton Roads!  Here's your itinerary: 

1) Women's Reception Honoring Delegate Paula Miller, Fri., May 18, 7-9pm at the home of Jack and Courtney Doyle in Norfolk. Guest Speaker: Del. Ward Armstrong, House Minority Leader. RSVP.

2) Join the DPVA's Dickie Cranwell, House Minority Leader Del. Ward Armstrong, and all our great Beach candidates for Cocktails and Conversation at The Cavalier, oceanfront Virginia Beach, 4201 Atlantic Ave., on May 18, 8:30 to 10:00 pm. It's FREE and open to all Democrats! RSVP.

3) Governor Mark Warner will attend a breakfast honoring Henry Light, candidate for the House of Delegates and "the REAL Democrat in the 79th District", Sat., May 19, 8:00 to 10:00 am at the Renaissance Hotel Portsmouth, 425 Water Street, in Portsmouth. 4) The DPVA will hold its Central Committee meeting at the The Cavalier Hotel (on the Hill), in the Grand Ballroom, on Sat., May 19, 10:00 to 11:30 am. The Women's Democratic Caucus will hold a meeting immediately following the Central Committee meeting. Room: TBD. Please contact Levar Stoney for more info.

5) Delegate Jeion A. Ward hosts a Town Hall meeting, Sat., May 19, 12:30 -2:00 pm, at the West Hampton Community Center, 1638 Briarfield Rd. in Hampton, to discuss transportation, the HPV vaccine and other issues.

It's folks like yourself, who post here, that should be running the communications function at the DPVA. Compare how you've notified and explained to us this weekend's Democratic activities in your one diary and then look at the DPVA's website.....  Need I say more.

Eileen was the Communications Chair for Loudoun county and did a super job. Her tenacity and foresight were extremely important to the party as we started turning things around.
