Well, the results are in, and it's a unanimous verdict (6-0)...for Dan Bowling over Mickey McGlothlin. The vote broke down as follows: 5-0 internally, plus an overwhelming community vote (37-2) in favor of Bowling, with 11 voting for "no endorsement". The end result is this: Raising Kaine is endorsing Dan Bowling for the Democratic party nomination in the 3rd House of Delegates District!We were all very impressed by Del. Bowling's commitment to the citizens of this district and Southwest Virginia. He has served his district well during his first term and when the voters return him to Richmond this year, he will continue that service.
Additionally, we (and the RK community) could not ignore Mickey McGlothlin's substantial donations to Republican candidates.
We will announce this endorsement with an e-mail to the RK list (over 450 people) and provide Dan Bowling with RK front-page coverage of his events and other news.
Finally, there's the snazzy logo that Dan Bowling can add to his web page, literature, etc. if he'd like.
