I appreciate your interest and I thank each of you for being involved in the political process. We would certainly appreciate the endorsement of Raising Kaine.
I wish to return to the House of Delegates where I am able to serve the working families of Southwest Virginia. My record in the previous two sessions reflects that I am an advocate in Richmond for those who need a voice. I am proud to be endorsed by the Virginia Education Association and the United Mine Workers of America; I believe their priorities deserve a delegate who will fight for them. I will continue to push for high quality public education, a living wage, and access to health care for all. I am grateful to have the support of many strong Democrats in Virginia.
Thank you again for your time and I hope to receive your support or vote on June 12. I look forward to returning to Richmond to work for my constituents and other Democratic priorities in Virginia.

If he'd vote for the smoking ban
Dan Bowling's campaign runs into a money machine (Villian - 5/29/2007 11:59:00 PM)
Mickey McGlothlin has opened the money spigot and is hemorrhaging green backs by the bucket. He has lost all the normal campaign endorsements to incumbent Delegate Dan Bowling and now he is trying to buy the Democratic nomination. He has hired top rated Country Music performer Lorrie Morgan & Reagan Boggs to perform at Ernie Hicks Stadium in Richlands, Virginia. This performance is June 2, 2007 at 6PM and it is free for those willing to rally with him. This is something that I have not seen before in a political campaign and it seems to denigrate the political process by buying votes with sensational performances rather than citizen governance issues. However, I suspect when you have excessive wealth you can pollute the process. Dan Bowling needs help, Raising Kaine endorsed Dan Bowling for the Third District House race with a six to nothing score and placed its credibility on the line for Dan Bowling. Now a super rich individual is using his wealth to subvert the process in the Democratic primary by spending his money on celebrity performances trying to bribe Democrats for support. Is there anything that Raising Kane can do to help Dan at this late hour?
Thanks Dan! (Villian - 5/16/2007 8:18:01 PM)
Virginia House of Delegate member Dan Bowling is an honorable and humble politician who works for each member of his constituency with the conviction of purposeful service and also is an outlet for legislative relief with his legislative partnering skills. Dan is a loyal Democratic Party member who exhibits a history of impeccable integrity and unquestionable honesty. Dan makes himself available and accessible for problem discussion and resolution and is able to work toward constituent issues with the coordinated cooperation of his peers. Dan is a breath of fresh air when you need a friend and a gentle relief who demonstrates the knowledge and ability to help in time of need. Dan is a poster person who makes the Democratic Party shine with goodness and a Democratic Party member proud to be a supporter. Yes, Dan Bowling will get my support this June 12 and as many other voters as I can get to support Dan on June 12. Why do that, you say? It is not often that you can have a politician of whom you can admire and speak of with gratitude and respect. Dan Bowling is such a man.
Service above Self (tbrewste - 5/16/2007 9:37:45 PM)
Dan Bowling has a life long history of being a service oriented individual. If you ever have the pleasure of having a private conversation with Dan, you will appreciate his intellect, compassion, and dedication to doing the right thing for his constituents back home. He is the prototype for the characteristics that a citizen legislator should possess. I wish Dan Bowling the best of luck. I know the people of Southwest Virginia will recognize the impact that Dan has had on the region during the short time that he has served office.
An Honor! (Villian - 5/17/2007 9:11:30 AM)
I have tryed to post to the endorsement notice, however, for some reason I have been unable to do so. Here are my comments that I tried to post there:
I am very pleased, impressed and happy to see others more qualified than me to arrive at the same decision concerning the quality, character and service commitment of Virginia Third District Delegate Dan Bowling. This is a prestigious honor for Dan to be endorsed by the Raining Kaine staff and Raising Kaine community. This is good stuff, this endorsement component of the RK staff and community. The endorsement process undertaken by RK staff and community gives quality candidates greater status and this endorsement carries with it the mark of political excellence from the highest level of intellectual involvement. I am so happy for Delegate Dan Bowling, who in my opinion is so deserving of this prestigious endorsement.
