Dr. Ralph Northam, who's running as a Democrat for Virginia's State Senate in the 6th District, received a very nice honor today. According to a press release from his campaign, Dr. Northam "was chosen...by the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as the 2007 Virginia Child Advocate Award winner." Northam commented, "It is a great honor to receive this award from the American Academy of Pediatrics," adding, "I look forward to continuing to serve the children of Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore, and the rest of the Commonwealth for years to come."
