Last year, I marched with dozens of Webb supporters in the annual Arlington Neighborhood Day Parade. It was great, as we enormously outnumbered both the Harris Miller and George Allen supporters. This year, the stakes aren't as high but it was still fun marching - along with about 50 other supporters - for one of Jim Webb's earliest and strongest supporters, Arlington County Treasurer Frank O'Leary. Also, please note that there is NOT a photo of Bob James with James Martin. I politely asked Bob James to pose for a photo with blogger James (Martin) - who Bob James dissed the other day when he referred to "the James Martins of the world." But Bob James was like, "oh no, NO more BLOGS" and almost literally ran away from us scary bloggers with a camera! It's too bad, because the look of disgust on Bob James' face was priceless as he spat out the word "blogs." Ha.
Around 50 Arlinton Democrats, and also a couple of Republicans, showed up to support Treasurer Frank O'Leary today in the Neighborhood Day Parade.
In contrast, Bob James had about 10 people marching for him, several of whom were definitely not of voting age.
A word of advise: do NOT get between Arlington County Revenue Commissioner Ingrid Morroy and a bullhorn if you value your life...or your hearing! :)
O'Leary supporter James Martin gives candy to a baby, but he couldn't give any to Bob James! Ha.
This has got to be worth a few votes for Grandpa Frank O'Leary right here (the shirt reads "Grandpa for Treasurer"). :)
