There was one recent ICE  (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) round up in Stafford County, Virginia reported in the local newspaper on 4/29/07

Someone was banging on the door at 4:19 in the morning.

Michele Veldran-Osorto was so startled by the noise, she checked the time on her cell phone. She and her husband, Edras, peered out the windows of their England Run rental home, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary in the street or driveway.

As the banging continued, the Osortos heard the doorknob jiggle, and Michele spotted a woman wearing a bulletproof vest, leaning against the side of the house. Michele told her husband he'd better open the door before the police knocked it down.

Within about 25 minutes, Michele Osorto said, six agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement swarmed her Stafford County home and led her husband to a van parked up the street."

Today it was reported that a Cinco De Mayo festival in Colonial Beach has been cancelled due to fears of possible deportations of illegal immigrants..

"We were going to have a parade, Latin American dance groups, a choral group, one or more bands, prizes and vendors of Latin American food and other things," said Dr. Peter Fahrney, president of the Colonial Beach Foundation, the sponsor of the event.

"It would have been the third festival. This year we were calling it the Hispanic American Heritage Day," he said.

But an inquiry about the event from a U.S. immigration official sent shockwaves through the Hispanic community already nervous about recent raids that have captured illegal immigrants for deportation, said Fahrney.

Cinco de Mayo is traditionally a day of Hispanic Pride and celebration,[http://en.wikipedia....] and apparently while we  hammer out a workable national immigration policy, Cinco De Mayo is  served on ICE.
