A top presidential campaign aide to Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, meanwhile, was the guest on another BlogTalkRadio show hosted by two Virginia Democrats. Those two bloggers, Lowell Feld and Ben Tribbett, also have signed a deal to write a book called "Netroots Rising."
OK, in fairness, "Beltway Blogroll" got it right about Ben's and my BlogTalkRadio show with Hillary Clinton's Deputy Campaign Manager, Mike Henry. Unfortunately, my understanding is that they first got it wrong, claiming that we had actually interviewed Hillary Clinton herself. Yeah, that would have been cool, but wasn't our Blog Talk Radio interview with Jim Webb good enough for these people? How about our live candidates' debate last night, one of the first of its kind in the blogosphere? Oh well, I guess as they say in Hollywood, "no publicity is bad publicity." Ha. :)
As far as the book is concerned, again they get it half right: I am writing a book called "Netroots Rising," but it's with Nate Wilcox of Mark Warner's Forward Together PAC, not with Ben Tribbett. Of course, Ben has been very helpful, including a lengthy interview the other day on the role of the netroots in the Webb-Miller and Webb-Allen campaigns. But last time I checked, the only names on the contract with Praeger are Nate's, mine, and the Praeger people.
By the way, if anyone has some insights on the netroots they'd like to share with Nate or me, you can e-mail me at lowell@raisingkaine.com. The book should be completed by late summer/early fall, and hopefully in print by the end of 2007. It will feature history and analysis of the netroots, stories about various campaigns - Dean, Clark, Webb, Tester, Lamont, etc. - to illustrate our points, and lots of pictures of scantily clad bloggers. OK, maybe not the last part; would that have helped or hurt booksales, you think? LOL.
Thanks.
Hope you make a million! Cheers!!
