I was pleased to be able to take part in the Progressive Democrats of America - Virginia Chapter's Breakfast with Congressman Jim Moran of the 8th District at the Table Talk Restaurant in Alexandria today.PDA-VA gave Congressman Moran the 2006 Huel Medows Memorial Award for his work on ending the occupation in Iraq and for his support of Democratic Congressional candidates.
Participants listened to the Congressman's views on various issues of concern to PDA-VA and shared their views on such topics as the US Occupation in Iraq, the environment, healthcare, the closing of the Guantanamo detention facility, and the various investigations of Republican wrongdoings.
