Friends, Virginians, citizens of Fairfax:You did it.
I asked you to make this campaign financially viable, and you did. All told, in the twelve weeks after we kicked off on January 7th, we received over $180,000 in donations from over 550 donors. That will be the #1 total for any challenger in Virginia. Thanks to all of you who made that happen.
That doesn't mean the race is over. Rather it is just beginning. For the last few weeks, we have been working hard to get our message out precinct by precinct. For the month of March, we concentrated on the Braddock district. This week, we cross Rte. 66 and say "hello" to the Town of Vienna.
We kick it off with our monthly "Chappy Hour" on Thursday, April 12th, 7-9 p.m. at the Vienna Inn, 120 Maple Avenue E., in downtown Vienna. Please come and enjoy the free appetizers. Stay for a beer (or soda) and a chance to meet the candidate and our great staff. Discuss the issues and let us know your opinions.
Then Saturday morning, April 14th, we will be meeting at Sue Langley's house, 2435 Flint Hill Drive in Vienna, to walk neighborhoods in the northern half of the 34th Senate District. Please come and bring a friend. It's only an hour of moderate walking and your participation will make it a success.
Thank you again for all you've done (and will do in the future). Let us know how we can represent you better.
