First, it's interesting to know that the symbol of your hometown school is a Blue Devil. Seems very appropriate somehow, but a bit confusing; you rightwing Republicans DO like to tout yourselves as the Christian "faith and values" people. So, maybe you know better. Or is this a sign that you are secretly rooting for Duke to win the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament? Anwyay, nice logo -- love the flames and the sinister looking picture of Satan!!
By the way, we thought the Gate City High course called "Family and Consumer Science" looked interesting. We were curious to know what "Family and Consumer Science" was exactly -- doesn't seem to be one of the three "Rs" exactly -- and were fascinated to discover that it teaches students such useful life skills as "parliamentary procedure," "public speaking," and "leadership." We suppose that all this has something to do with "Family and Consumer Science," but we can't help but thinking that it might be more suited for your own extended family's preferred career path -- lawyer/politician.
Anyway, welcome to the campaign trail, Jerry. You devil you!

To make comment on the devil mascot has nothing to do with the town, or the area in which the school is. It is based purely on the firey attitude that the student athletes show while on the athletic serface. Now to my second point. Your comment on the name of the course. If I am not mistaken the state not an individual school determines both the classes offered as well as their names. So you may want to go back and look at your own job preformance seeing you want to ridicuel something that obviously you and your office helped to create.
Making fun of home-ec teachers is a great way to win friends and influence people.
