According to today's CNN/WMUR poll, Clinton is down and Edwards is up in New Hampshire.

Highlights:

* 27 percent of likely Dem voters choose Clinton, down from 35 percent
* Edwards is the choice of 21 percent, up from 16 percent
* Obama slips into third, but in statistical tie with Edwards
* CNN/WMUR poll taken after Elizabeth Edwards' cancer announcement

Maybe after this week's reporting and polling, the media will stop treating Edwards like a 2nd-tier candidate.

Polls, polls, polls (drmontoya - 4/3/2007 10:31:29 PM)
It's over shut it down. Edwards won the whole thing.

Pull the pull everyone. Oh my god.

Polls don't mean squat at this point.

Wait? Maybe it does, tell Hillary and Barack they must pull the plug now Edwards has won the nomination.

I find I like polls... (Nick Stump - 4/4/2007 5:11:36 AM)
...directly in relation to how well my candidate is doing in the poll.

National polls don't mean a thing... (Ghost of A.L. Philpott - 4/5/2007 3:05:49 PM)
...but statewide polls in early primary/caucus states sure as hell do. I'm sorry that Clark or Gore or Obama or whoever is next for you isn't winning at the moment, and I know you don't like John Edwards, but what happens in these polls helps dictate the pace of early efforts in these primary states. Besides, wasn't that you a week or so again yellin' about Gore being up in a poll somewhere??

Edwards is now officially top tier. (Josh - 4/3/2007 11:18:17 PM)
First in Iowa and 2nd in NH.

Yeah, he's got millions in the bank, deep and broad public grassroots support, and he connects with Americans.

He's officially top tier.  That doesn't mean Hillary and Obama need to head home and give up.  It means the media needs to start treating this like the three-way race that it is, and not Hildog vs. JFk jr. with a leader in the 2nd tier saying smart things and putting out solid policy papers.

I'm glad to see this (Nick Stump - 4/4/2007 5:14:05 AM)
I like seeing a bit of movement. I hate it when everything is decided so early.  I want to see and hear these candidates and I hope the race stays close for a while.  It's good for the candidates and the voters.  We need to see these people tested a bit and a primary is a good place for this test.
