Fighting back against Fox and Coulter

Instead of trying to prove the Democrats wrong by pretending to be "fair and balanced" in their response to the canceling of the Nevada debate, Fox News did the opposite and confirmed it is nothing but a part of the right wing noise machine:

Fox News Vice President David Rhodes responded to the debate cancellation with a written statement saying MoveOn.org owns the Democratic Party.

No unbiased news organization would put out partisan talking points like that, but a part of the GOP's media apparatus would. Remember, the final nail in the coffin for the Fox-sponsored debate was when Fox Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes made a joke comparing Barack Obama to the world's most notorious terrorist.

Speaking of the right wing smear machine, don't forget to tell Harrisonburg's Daily-News Record to dump Ann Coulter over her homophobic slur against John Edwards: Email Editor and General Manager Peter Yates at pyates@dnronline.com.  Post your messages to the paper below, and any cross-posts to your own blogs demanding the removal of Ann "slur-a-minute" Coulter.

Watch Faux News: be uninformed (hereinva - 3/11/2007 4:31:36 PM)
Faux News: We report propaganda- You decide. I will catch the local Fox channel..and on occasion watch a blip of FOX National news.

I recall a viewer survey in 2003 that compared news source and  viewer perceptions of the War in Iraq.

Turns out that FOX News watchers had the most mis-perceptions about the War. Ironically, our local post office keeps their t.v. set tuned to FOX News..so anyone standing in line cannot help but be misinformed as well.

"Fair and Balanced" reg trademark-

Fox on Post Office TVs? (PM - 3/11/2007 6:02:39 PM)
What an excellent observation.  Is Fox News on the air in other post offices?  Maybe it's an order from the Postmaster General?

Please report if you notice this.

Coulter Some Day on Dancing with the Stars? (PM - 3/11/2007 5:59:53 PM)

This is a great quote in an AP article asking whether Ann Coulter has reached the tipping point:

Said Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Project for Excellence in Journalism: "You do wonder whether she's destined for `Dancing With the Stars' at some point."

What does she think of guys who can dance? (Andrea Chamblee - 3/11/2007 9:11:36 PM)
Isn't their sexuality suspect?

It turns out, Coulter loves f#gs!  Who'd have thought there were more Republican gay porn stars and prostitutes around? Could there be enough for one for everyone?

Jeff Gannon
Mike Jones (Ted Haggard's boy toy)
and now Matt Sanchez.  Thanks Va Progressive!

not just Coulter (finnegan - 3/12/2007 1:00:22 PM)
Even if the DNR pulled the Coulter column, I doubt it would change the content of the editorial page much. Here's one from today.
