How about starting with (Lowell - 3/11/2007 7:27:00 AM)
Alberto Gonzalez, "consigliere to Mr. Bush's imperial presidency" and who "symbolizes Mr. Bush's disdain for the separation of powers, civil liberties and the rule of law?" Those words, by the way, are from today's New York Times article urging that George W. Bush, very possibly the worst President in American history, fire Alberto Gonzalez, very possibly the worst Attorney General we've ever had. How can a great nation like the United States of America, the same country that produced Abraham Lincoln and FDR, end up with "leaders" who are as horrendously incompetent as Bush and Gonzalez? It boggles the mind...
Starting with Gonzalez Is A Wonderful Idea (PM - 3/11/2007 8:30:58 AM)
Gonzalez to me stands for the worst forms of injustice and bigotry. Apparently if you're not of his religion and you're from one of those Third World countries the U.S. is free to keep you in jail without charges, and in many cases evidence. I've been reading about how a lot of people we've held on terror charges are being shipped back overseas and being released almost immediately by our allies.
Starting with him is a great idea -- although rumors keep floating he is not long for his job.
