Mark Warner Goes All Out for Tim Kaine

As if there was any doubt that Mark Warner was 110% behind his loyal lieutenant, Tim Kaine, to carry on the Warner record for another 4 years, this weekend should have dispelled that doubt once and for all.  Yesterday, the wildly popular Governor (and future President?) marched alongside, calling him "my guy," asking, "Do we keep Virginia moving forward [with Tim Kaine]? Do we finish the job? Or do we make a giant U-turn [with Jerry Kilgore]?"

For his part, Kaine smoothly picked up the baton from Mark Warner, saying:

We have come too far to turn around and go backward.  The opposing team stood against Governor Warner and I . . . to invest in our schools and colleges. They stood against us when we wanted to put more funds into health care . . . or when we wanted to invest in transportation.

Finally, Jerry Kilgore showed once again why he is utterly disqualified to be Governor of Virginia, talking about his OPPOSITION to the progress made under the Warner/Kaine administration:

I am proud to have stood against the largest tax increase in Virginia history. I am proud to stand with sportsmen and protect our Second Amendment rights . . . something my opponent will not do. I am proud to be a supporter of the death penalty, something my opponent has worked against time and time against.

OK, now, besides the fact that Jerry Kilgore is lying about Second Amendment rights (Tim Kaine has stated unequivocally that he supports them) and the death penalty (Kaine is personally opposed for religious reasons but has stated he would not work to overturn the death penalty in Virginia), the gist of Jerry the Duck's comments are basically that he opposed everything the Warner/Kaine administration did the past four years.  Thanks to Jerry Kilgore for simplifying the choice this November:  If you want four more years of Mark Warner's policies, then vote for his lieutenant, Tim Kaine.  If you want a complete, 180-degree U-turn, back to the dark days of Jim Gilmore, then vote for Jerry Kilgore.

Yes, it's that simple.
