Congratulations, Mark Udall.  With the retirement of the nation's do-nothingest Senator, Wayne Allard, and the official election of the worst statewide campaign manager in Virginia history, Dick Wadhams as head of the Colorado Republican Party, Colorado's brilliant Congressman Mark Udall looks to be heading directly towards the US Senate in 2008.

CASTLE ROCK (AP) - Republicans unanimously picked Dick Wadhams to be the new chairman for the state party, hoping Wadhams can help them recover from losing a U.S. Senate seat, two U.S. House seats, the governor's office and control of the Legislature in the last two years.

Wadhams had no opposition for the position in the vote on Saturday.

He says his first priority is finding a candidate to replace GOP U.S. Senator Wayne Allard, who is retiring next year.

Godspeed Mr. Udall.  Wadhams is a standard issue Rovian thug.  Show your leadership, show your strength, take no prisoners and fight your way to the US Senate.

Heckuva job, Colorado Republicans, you've just turned the Centennial State bright, shining, luminous, Blue, Blue, Blue!!!

And Udall was practically a lock (Chris Guy - 3/5/2007 1:03:32 AM)
before they hired Dick Wad(hams), before Ted Haggard, before the Denver convention site was announced. It just keeps getting better...

Josh, your enthusiasm is contagious... (cycle12 - 3/5/2007 7:32:37 AM)
...and, hopefully and probably, Dick Wadhams' losing ways in Virginia will be equally contagious in Colorado.

Double thanks!

Steve

Dick Wad(hams) jokes go to Colorado (Lowell - 3/5/2007 8:31:58 AM)
Yipee! :)

Strike two! (Kindler - 3/5/2007 9:56:51 PM)
That makes two top leaders of the god-awful George Allen campaign who've been made chairman of a state Republican party.  (And I sure hope you know who the other one is and what state party he is misrepresenting!)

See this is why Republicans are on the downswing -- they keep promoting their well-connected losers long after they've been proven to be completely incompetent.  It's the opposite of  meritocracy -- more like cronyocracy!

Not to mention mediocrity... (cycle12 - 3/5/2007 11:03:40 PM)
Agreed, "Kindler".

Thanks!
