As Don just wrote about the 60 Minutes interview of Active Duty servicemen and women who are openly opposing the Iraq War.
I thought everyone should know, the 2 leaders of this movement of Active Duty service-members are serving right here in Virginia.
Sgt. Liam Madden and Iraq War Veteran is currently assigned to Marine Corps Base Quantico and Petty Officer Jonathan Hutto, who serves on the USS Theodore Roosevelt ported in Norfolk, which was deployed in the Gulf during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I urge you to watch that video from yesterday, and learn more about these troops who have the courage to step forward in uniform.
More than a thousand U.S. troops have signed their petition, as of today.. I am one of them.

For both bringing this to our attention and for having the courage to sign the petition while serving.
True patriot my friend, true patriot.
Thank you Nate (drmontoya - 2/26/2007 6:14:59 PM)
This is going to take more than just a few servicemen to end this war. It's going to take all of us together. Republicans and Democrats.. united as Americans to bring real resolution to this issue.
i'm really confused (chiefsjen - 2/26/2007 8:41:07 PM)
i read some of the transcript off another site, and the service person was explaining a story where 4 out of the 5 soldiers in a truck were killed by an IED while delivering school supplies, soccer balls, crayons, etc. -- wtf are our soldiers doing delivering this crap? why are our tax dollars going to buy/pay for this crap? since when does war involve going to the downtown dollar store to pick up stuff made in china to deliver to kids?
Winning hearts and minds with good acts.... (thegools - 2/26/2007 10:15:45 PM)
....we do it, Hamas does it, even al quaeda, Salidan did it and many rulers since time began... They make people happy with services and good will and in return they get support. Any occupying power would be smart to do it...The German in WWII famously didn't do it in France, the Soviet Union and turned conquered people (& potential allies) into resistance fighters instead of friends.
This practice of delivering "stuff made in china to deliver to kids" is a very old practice.
