In addition to a finished 60-minute piece (or whatever length it needs), I will post daily blogs on YouTube about the progress of making the documentary as I crisscross the US to meet impeachment activists.
In a previous life, I was a news producer and documentary filmmaker. I still make videos - now political videos that I hope will make a difference. You can check out my political work at http://www.roadette.... and a broader assortment of videos at http://www.joanvanta.... (My nom-de-videoblogue is Roadette Tonoware.) I post as Roadette on YouTube (http://www.youtube.c... RK, and DK.
Here's what I need:
1. Suggestions of people to interview, especially at the most local level. I have a much-appreciated good list of high level speakers from David Swanson.
2. Applicable video clips from administration figures that will illustrate the points interviewees will make about the grounds for impeachment. (Preferably, clips should be from public domain sources like C-SPAN or private archives.)
3. Scanned documents that illustrate the points interviews will make.
4. Accommodations in locales across the U.S. where I will be shooting. (I'm a teacher...no $ to spend on fancy hotels. ;-)
5. Offers of meals or small donations for food money would be welcome!
I plan to buy a 30-day Amtrak pass to travel around. I will collect offers of shelter now and post a schedule in mid-March to clarify where I will be on which days in April.
Also, I will be in Washington DC on March 17 (and maybe a few days after) to video the Impeachment march. So I could meet with any of you who are interested in this project.
Suggestions for finished one-hour piece and vblogs welcome!
Please email me at roadette@roadette.com if you can help.
Thanks, Roadette
