Why is Senator Kennedy ignoring the middle class when it comes to immigration reforms? Why is he giving disproportionate access to business interests? Shame on him.
He has a short memory - just as we gave the boot to Republicans who ignored the middle class in this last election, we will be more than willing to do the same to anti-labor Democrats. He may be safe in his state, but he risks damaging the Democratic party overall. Do you want Senator Kennedy to damage your party?
But, he is like a brick wall, ignoring the many labor concerns of Democrats, ignoring anyone trying to say, hey, what about Americans, including Democrats and has been the entire time.
I think the only way to stop him because he just won't listen, is the Senate needs to just grab the chair away from him.
I cannot believe they gave someone, so out of touch with America, after so many freshman Dems won the house and Senate because they are in touch with what people want..
I cannot believe they gave him the Senate Judiciary subcommittee chair on immigration.
Way to go Democratic leadership, put the power into the hands of someone who completely alienates 87% of the American public. Way to figure out how you won 2006.
Unreal.
I'm quite serious, I think the only way to stop this insanity is to make the Democratic party wake up and realize that Democrats don't want the Corporate Cheap Labor lobby dictating
US immigration policy either.
It's just unbelievable and it's really time for progressives
to wake up and realize that there is a huge difference between
the real agenda of cheap labor/guest workers/absurdly high levels of immigration and genuine humanitarian concern and inclusion.
Right now Democrats are being played by name calling everyone
as racist xenophobe. This is bogus, truly and if this happens it means that Corporations will control US immigration policy, domestic labor markets and believe me, everyone, everyone S. of the border, in the United States, citizen, perm, legal, illegal is going to be in one massive huge increase in cheap labor supply and we're all going to suffer economically.
