This editorial is so true, I really don't have much else to add. Just read it, and then you'll understand when the Flat Earth Republicans in our General Assembly produce a fundamentally flawed, irresponsible, cynical, heartless transportation "plan" sometime in the next two days. When these 12 guys (I believe they're all guys) come out with their "rigged" plan - a plan that trashes education, health care, public safety, and the environment - the main thing for all of us to keep in mind is that there are elections this November. Which means, of course, that in just over 8 months, we'll have a chance to boot these clowns out of office. I can't wait.
P.S. The other thing to do is to tell your State Senator - and Governor Kaine, if it gets that far - to reject any plan that raids the General Fund and does not provide a dedicated, separate, fresh source of revenue to transportation.
