Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H Con Res 63, "Disapproving of the decision of the President announced on January 10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional United States combat troops to Iraq." The vote was 246-182 in favor of the resolution, with 6 not voting. Of the 246 voting "yes," 229 were Democrats and 17 were Republicans. The Virginia delegation voted as follows:*Eric Cantor (R-7), Thelma Drake (R-2), Randy Forbes (R-4), Virgil Goode (R-5), Bob Goodlatte (R-6), and Frank Wolf (R-10) voted no.
*Jo Ann Davis (R-1) did not vote.
