This will have a significant impact on the race, as Governor Kaine will be the most high-profile endorsement Obama has received thus far. I think this will certainly help Obama with Virginia Democrats, who may be leaning toward former Senator John Edwards, to see that Barack Obama is perhaps the best presidential candidate we've got. Governor Kaine is very influencial with members of local committees who are ardent supporters of him. There are the folks who will vote in primaries, and I forsee this endorsement as a major Obama boost.
By the way, do I sense seeing an Obama/Kaine 2008 sign in my yard?!? :)
