We Did It - Susan Mariner Hired

As most of you are aware, a couple of comments to a RK post created a new post to draft Susan Mariner as the Hampton Roads 50 State DNC regional field organizer. An online petition was started and 134 signers stepped forward in support of Susan.
The word is now out that effective Monday, February 12th, none other than Susan will begin (actually already started) in her new capacity as our Hampton Roads Organizer.
Way to go Susan!! You will be great!

My deepest gratitude to all of you who supported me for this position. You are amazing, and it is an honor to know and have worked with you over this past year. You can all be guaranteed that I will do my very best in this role, and I will endeavor at all times to be worthy of the faith you have in me.
I look forward to meeting and working with more of you in 2007. And, of course, I'll be here reading and commenting when I think I might have something of value to add to the conversation.

Susan did such an amazing job organizing Hampton Roads volunteers during the Webb campaign. If she brings even half that effort to the table, Hampton Roads will be back to Blue in no time!
