Al Gore has done a very important job as former US VP and has created so much pressure in the USA that for the first time President Bush must now say that climate change is a problem. No other single person in the last year has done so much to put the threat of climate change on the agenda, and contributed to lasting changes in international policy,
By the way, if you haven't yet seen Gore's powerful, extraordinary movie "An Inconvenient Truth," it's now available in video stores everywhere, so go rent it!
Now that I am sure my man Clark is going to run in 2008... Al Gore is going to make it hard for everyone should he run.
Come on Gore, please let us know so we don't get too invested with our respective candidates!!!!!!
So, good news, Lowell: I hereby nominate you for the Nobel Prize in...uh...Chemistry. Good luck. :)

George W. Bush has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
I wouldn't call it AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
"HOUSTON - Oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. on Thursday posted the largest annual profit by a U.S. company - $39.5 billion - even as earnings for the last quarter of 2006 declined 4 percent.
The 2006 profit topped Exxon Mobil's own previous record of $36.13 billion set in 2005."
Dude, it is amazing! With Gore's Oscar nominations for his film and now his nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize, it further elevates the issue of global warming not only in this country but globally as well. All of this focuses more attention on the issue. And maybe, just maybe, with all of this exposire, we can finally move foward to resolve this problem - and it sure would be nice if Gore were in the White House to resolve it!
