Can't wait for the video (drmontoya - 1/24/2007 6:39:31 PM)
Wowzer. Ya think Cheney might be feeling the heat a little???

What an arrogant Di, er, Richard (DukieDem - 1/24/2007 7:08:36 PM)
The best part is how defensive he is to his daughter. Think it's out of line to ask personal questions Mr. Vice President? Go tell that to your base.

I saw this earlier and... (Terry85 - 1/24/2007 7:32:29 PM)
I love how Dick Cheney doesn't "agree" with the "premise" of the facts presented by Wolf Blitzer.

Q But there is a terrible situation.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: No, there is not. There is not. There's problems, ongoing problems, but we have, in fact, accomplished our objectives of getting rid of the old regime, and there is a new regime in place that's been there for less than a year, far too soon for you guys to write them off.

Although, this part is definately my favorite:

Q Here's what Jim Webb, senator from Virginia, said in his Democratic response last night. He said:

"The President took us into the war recklessly. We are now, as a nation, held hostage to the predictable and predicted disarray that has followed."

And it's not just Jim Webb, it's some of your good Republican friends in the Senate and the House, are now seriously questioning your credibility because of the blunders, of the failures. All right, Gordon Smith --

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Wolf, Wolf, I simply don't accept the premise of your question. I just think it's hogwash.

Fair weather friends (Kindler - 1/24/2007 10:24:10 PM)
Reporters get awfully brave about challenging the administration when the president is at a 33% approval rating.

If they had been this brave when he was at 60-70%, perhaps we would not have gotten into the awful quagmire of Iraq in the first place.

Clearly (Terry85 - 1/25/2007 1:00:46 AM)
You aren't talking about Wolf Blitzer.  There was nothing "brave" about this interview.  Every time Cheney acted like he was getting a little hot and bothered, Blitzer backed down like a coward.  He should have nailed him on his Jim Webb remark AND on the gay marriage issue.
