The American military GÇö once a staunch supporter of President Bush and the Iraq war GÇö has grown increasingly pessimistic about chances for victory.Only 35% approve of Bush's handling the war, while 42% said they disapproved - down from his 63% approval number in 2004. And 41% agree that we should have invaded Iraq in the first place, down from 65% in 2003.For the first time, more troops disapprove of the presidentGÇÖs handling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war, according to the 2006 Military Times Poll.
So, how long before Robertson and Co. to accuse the troops of being unpatriotic?
