... Goode is standing by his comments and told the C-Ville Weekly, "I wrote the letter. I think it speaks for itself."You'd think everyone would condemn Goode's horrendous, xenophobic diatribe about a soon-to-be fellow Representative that happens to be Muslim. You'd be wrong. Check out this Virginia wingnut blogger:
What we have here is a failure to learn from history. While all of the liberal bloggers are falling over themselves to see who can be the most tolerant and politically correct, they fail to realize that muslims are patient. They will wait for centuries to defeat an "evil". It starts with a few muslim politicians here, and a few more over there. They will appear harmless at first. We'll hear the term "moderate muslim".Simply amazing. Sounds a bit like that anti-JFK crap of yesteryear, doesn't it?Next thing you know they have their own house and senate caucus.
While there may indeed be "moderate muslims", they will soon be forcibly coerced into sympathizing with their more militant brethren for the sake of Allah.
Wow, that is a bit paranoid. One U.S. congressman, who just happens to practice a different religion than most (congressmen, that is), means we're looking at a Muslim takeover?
If these hysterical visions of the future are the pressing matters of the rightwing now-a-days, they must really be bored.
