Some quick hits from around the Commonwealth's progressive blogs:

- Let's give a hand to some politicians that have embraced blogs by actually having one: Del. Kris Amundson and Del. Bob Brink blog at 7 West. Here's a good read on GOP robo-calls.

- Albo Must Go deconstructs Dave Albo's "power of incumbency" and supposed moderateness.

- Ken rounds up some of the latest General Assembly proposed bills.

- And the A-Team says good-bye

One Chap left behind... (Kindler - 11/19/2006 4:29:29 PM)
Don't forget about Chap Petersen's blog, Ox Road South (http://blog.oxroadso...).

I second that nomination! (LAS - 11/19/2006 5:40:22 PM)
Chap deserves some recognition.

Congrats (mkfox - 11/19/2006 4:30:24 PM)
to JMU for their 9-2 record and IAA playoff appearance, although they got shafted not having a home game in Round 1.

OSU (phriendlyjaime - 11/19/2006 4:39:54 PM)
is clearly the best college football team in the country.

CLEARLY.  There simply is not an argument about it.  If you do not agree, you are just jealous.  Period.

Dear Michigan-you had a chance to beat us.  You lost.  There will not be a rematch, nor do you deserve a second chance.  Move over, and let us kill USC in the National Championship game.

OSU (mkfox - 11/19/2006 4:48:51 PM)
may be #1 but UM is #1-A  ;)
If the Irish beat USC, there will be a rematch for the BCS title game and Big Blue will roll!

They don't deserve a rematch. (phriendlyjaime - 11/19/2006 4:52:48 PM)
Do we get to vote again if the election doesn't go our way?  NO.  That would be panderig to Michigan, and it's pathetic.

Jaime - BCS standings just came out (Rob - 11/19/2006 5:24:34 PM)
Michigan is #2.

It's not a Democracy, (mkfox - 11/19/2006 5:40:51 PM)
it's the BCS. It doesn't have to make sense. Every season is another argument for a playoff system.

Heh, you're a nut (Doug Garnett-Deakin - 11/19/2006 8:55:30 PM)
But I love it. Oh, what a good game. It's not the Hokies, but I'd bet $10 it will be a re-match.

I did not know that the "A-Team" was an actual blog..I thought it was someones idea of describing the opposition's media group. Slow but steady !Thanks for the quick hits.

A-team says goodbye (libra - 11/19/2006 6:56:46 PM)
This was my first-ever visit to the website, so it was also the first time I saw the motto. Ooopsie... No wonder they lost -- the fortune didn't favor the bold ones, because they didn't know how to spell "favor". If you're gonna use Latin (what for? To impress? Whom? I thought Allen was running on anti-intellectualism), you'd better do it right, or else the Goddess Fortune is going to be really ticked off.

It's "iuvat", not "juvat", stupid :)

Speaking of Robocalls (tidewater_roots - 11/19/2006 8:09:13 PM)
Here's a great Diary on the RNC's 2006 Robocalls (and what can be done about this). Drake-R VA-02, was a beneficiary of these calls, as was Allen-R-Macaca.
