I just wanted to take a moment to thank Rep. Rick Boucher for all the great work he did in helping to elect Jim Webb this past Tuesday. Boucher, who is wildly popular in the 9th CD, himself won a lansdlide victory (over CW Carrico), with 68% of the vote. Congratulations! And while he was doing that, he also took time to campaign with Jim Webb and to help him in other ways. In the end, Jim Webb won 44% of the vote in the 9th CD, 1 percentage point better than Governor Kaine did last year. Boucher added tremendous credibility to the Webb campaign and helped energize Democrats to get onboard with Webb. Thanks Congressman Boucher, and once again, congratulations on your own great victory!
