Voter Intimidation Has Begun in Virginia

At least one voter in a highly Democratic area received a message purportedly from the "Election Board" telling him that he was registered in another state and therefore could not vote in Virginia.  He was told that if he tries to vote, he will be criminally prosecuted. 

The voter has lived in Virginia for 6 years.

As long as the voter is registered in Virginia and lives in Virginia, he can vote.  And, in any event, he can't be criminally prosecuted for showing up to vote - anywhere.

If anyone receives a similar call, please try to get the phone number of the caller and report it to 1-888-DEMVOTE.

I am part of the "Vote Protection Team" monitoring this election "on the ground" tomorrow. Please identify what jurisdiction this occurred in that so that a report can be made TODAY, to our counsel Jay Meyerson. Please also report any addittional instances of such imitimidation and gather as much evidence as possible:
1. Organization in engaging in the conduct, in this case we can sure guess who they really are but we also need who they say they are.
2. Where it occurs.
3. When it occurs.
4. Method of intimidation.
5. Witnesses to the conduct, name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc.
6. IN short, as much info as possible.
Please report all such acts to the number listed above. If it gets too big (many acts) I or someone else on the team will report directly to state counsel and to the DNC national counsel's office.
