Wow.  Can you have a worse vote of "no confidence" in the Bush Administration's disastrously botched Iraq policy than THIS

And they just gave all those high-ranking (summercat - 11/4/2006 8:06:12 AM)
officers an 8% raise!  Guess your taxpayer dollar doesn't go as far as it used to, lol!
This is great news--and it will be even better to hear how Bushco spin their response.

Well, I suppose they could blame the Army, Navy, (Lowell - 11/4/2006 8:14:23 AM)
Air Force and Marines - not to mention their neo-con allies - for their own f***ups in Iraq.  After all, the Republican Party IS the party of "personal responsibility," right?  Er, I mean "personal IRresponsibility" and hypocrisy.  Ask Ted Haggard, Mark Foley, and all the rest of these corrupt, incompetent, arrogant fools.

THIS IS HUGE. (Jon-Phillip - 11/4/2006 10:37:15 AM)
Especially in a tight election . . . now how many retired and active military are there in VA?

How many of these people are going to read this editorial on Monday, the day before the election!?!

Man oh man.

The Army Times editorial (libra - 11/4/2006 8:39:42 PM)
How many of these people are going to read this editorial on Monday, the day before the election!?! -- Jon-Phillip

Exactly. And how many of them have voted already and will read it too late to change their mind (and vote)? And what about the rest of the public? How many will hear about it and when?

Sigh... I wish that editorial came out last Monday not the day after tomorrow. There would have been time to make another ad; there would have been time to ask Allen what his position on Rummy was (do you support the army or the s-administration?)

From the Army's point of view, the timing is excellent; the army serves the country, not a political party, so it's right that they should stay away from trying to influence elections. But, from *our* (Dem) point of view... Not so much.

Oh well... Better half a loaf, than no bread at all, I suppose... :)

Oh (Jon-Phillip - 11/4/2006 10:38:31 AM)
And not to mention that Bush just reaffirmed his support of Rummy.

This is like Christmas!!!

I sure Hope (Gordie - 11/5/2006 1:18:25 AM)
The undecided read this and go out to vote on Tuesday.
