According to Rich Lowry at the conservative National Review Online, GOP internal polling indicates that "it's not looking so great" for George Allen. According to Lowry, "Webb was leading last night, and is leading in the two-day."
[UPDATE: Lowry also reports that "It's going the rounds that Allen's ground operation has been neglected and is not up to snuff." Whoops! Honey, I forgot the GOTV!! :)]

Sadaam verdict - Election Eve surprise? (Tink - 11/3/2006 8:34:08 PM)
I worry about the Sadaam verdict and sentencing to be announced late Sunday. Should hit the news hard on Monday? Could be riots in Iraq?
The Republicans will spin this.
Maybe we should be warning or suggesting that voters be wary and not be fooled?
Saddam sentencing (libra - 11/3/2006 11:34:49 PM)
I'd say definitely riots. Shiites if he doesn't get death and Sunnis if he does. Either way, Americans will be caught in the middle -- yet again. How Republicans are going to spin it out for their benefit I can't imagine, but my imagination just doesn't stretch to their levels and is constantly caught by yet new depth.
Yes: Double Whammy (Teddy - 11/3/2006 9:30:00 PM)
Prepare everyone for another spin on Saddam. Wouldn't hurt to link it with a storm of publicity about both the publication of nuclear weapon instructions AND the abandonment by Bush of a kidnapped American soldier. A double whammy.
