a fitting cap to the campaign (teacherken - 11/2/2006 4:17:42 PM)
oh, and Ashley just sent out a message that the event this evening is sold out - completely!!!

The energy is absotely incredible (Lowell - 11/2/2006 4:24:03 PM)
I have never seen anything like this in my life.

Vote, Decorate a Ballroom, Go to a Rally (kevinceckowski - 11/2/2006 4:48:04 PM)
(oh and somewhere in that go to work....) sounds like a time to party after all that.

Victory party that night should be a blast.
Working right down to the opening of the laptop with the returns flowing in.

I've been involved in a lot of elections (PaulVa - 11/2/2006 4:51:33 PM)
Mostly outside of Virginia, and I have never seen this kind of enthusiasm for a candidate.  It is a testament to Jim Webb's character.  I'm getting phone calls from people all over the country asking about how he is doing and how much they want to see him in the Senate.  And these are not just Democrats.

You're not kidding, (libra - 11/2/2006 11:41:11 PM)
PaulVA, when you say: "It is a testament to Jim Webb's character". I've voted in US ever since I was permitted to - about 20 yrs or more -- and this is the first time that I'm *entirely happy* about my candidate. He's right (as in "correct" ) on issues and he's -- quite obviously -- a person of honor as well as intelligence; what more could one ask?

I sure hope to see Felix the (s)cat get a (combat) boot up his posterior on Nov 7... :) Scat, Felix, scat!

PS Lowell, I *did* sign up to volunteer -- standing near our polling station, handing out lit etc. It's the only thing I *can* do -- I'm no good on the phone, where I cannot see the other person's mouth move, and I'm too timid to knock on strangers' doors. I would have signed for 6hrs -- as a housewife, I have plenty of time -- but it was not an option. Why not?

Me too! (DukieDem - 11/3/2006 12:14:07 AM)
One call from California yesterday and one from New York today.

Don't let up though, let's finish strong!

Kevin When you decorate Tuesday (Used2Bneutral - 11/2/2006 5:05:24 PM)
Please get them to set up a table and chairs with an outlet strip for bloggers near the stage so we can gather results and "web Cast" live audio at least and maybe video to the parties all across the state simultaneous..... I have the technology since we do it almost daily for our radio shows........ and besides, most of us will get withdrawl symptoms if we can't get results via the web...  Allow for at least 6 people side by side so we can watch all the news outlets and supply an upstream via the wireless WiFi and ethernet they have there at the Sheraton ballroom.... we interviewed Tim Kaine there back in August

Email me when you can.....

What s/w do you use for live video? (roadette - 11/2/2006 6:47:34 PM)
I'd like to be able to livecast. Tx, Roadette

The bandwidth over WiFi in the hotel probably won't work for video (Used2Bneutral - 11/3/2006 12:45:31 AM)
BUT, sending an audio stream to our audio streaming server should be no sweat if we keep it at a reasonable speed.... and then send some still pictures by AIM to a blog where they can be shared..... just not a lot of options..... sorry lady... JimS at NoVa dot org

alex va headquaters (pvogel - 11/2/2006 4:51:19 PM)

Get there early, parking will be tight, better yet, walk from king st metro.

Great Way To Fire People Up! (DanG - 11/2/2006 4:52:19 PM)
This would be a great GOTV for Webb voters.  Brilliant way to make a statement at the end of this thing.

Wow (TurnVirginiaBlue - 11/2/2006 7:02:12 PM)
Clinton is doing the Webb election -eve rally!

That's fantastic and to me also shows Webb has the momentum!

Looking at the latest Senate polls (PM - 11/2/2006 7:49:33 PM)
The Webb/what's his name race could cap a Senate takeover.  That's why this rally will be so electric.  The latest poll -- and I know it keeps changing -- has Ford up on Corker, and Menendez pulling away.
